Time for an update

Well, I'm down to 3 more working days before my folks arrive (yay!), and I have enough "to-dos" to fill a month. Lord willing, Monday morning I will finally be rid of this ear infection and be back to my normal self. It has really slowed me down this past week. But I'm thankful for the chance to feel what my babies feel. I don't remember having one before but they are officially miserable and I'm so dosing them up with Tylenol next time. I have taken more Advil this week than in all our married life put together. I NEVER take pain meds, but with being neither pregnant or nursing, Ed convinced me there was no virtue in suffering just because. ( Don't worry it actually only ended up being maybe 5 pills total all week, but for me that's a record. =) Just FYI, onion is the best for treating it. I tried everything!!!!
Well, enough about me....
The past month has been a nice break. It's still been busy but between the gorgeous weather, and enjoying my new picnic table, and watching the kids revel in the sunshine, and watching Ed work in his shop it's felt relaxing and non-hurried. I know the next few months are going to more than make up for that but that's ok.
I have so many things I could share that the Lord's been teaching me through this new Bible study. Or maybe just reminding me of...either way, it's been a blessing. And I'm truly trying to apply the "speaking truth to myself". I'm not "there" yet, but I've been noticing when I don't and that helps.
Anyway, it's late and I need to wrap up. I probably would have had more time if I hadn't taken so long admiring all the newborns on the various blogs I follow. Sweet cheeks and soft hair. Love it.

Bible Study

I just updated my Bible study page if you want to step over and take a look. I hope you will be as blessed as I am by this study. Thanks for looking!

Levi's perspective

The kids are sitting at the table coloring and singing and levi is really belting it out" It's not about me Lord, it's all about YOU..." Then he pipes up " Hey kidth, I have a pwiviledge...you can sing the rest with me!"

My verse for the week

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you: that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:8

Busy week (for a change)

I've been telling myself for the past week or so that I needed to post again and I just haven't gotten around to it. I've been trying for the past few weeks to get de-cluttered and organized (yet again) and we finally finished up the last of that last week. I had originally planned a yard sale but with everything that has happened and as cold as it has stayed we just decided to donate it all to Goodwill. I don't really have a place to store it, and the whole point of de-cluttering is to get it OUT of the house. I am enjoying having a home for everything and even an overflow place in the shed. I can actually turn around out there and find stuff. I mean I have tubs with labels on them. How cool is that?
Inside the house we have unmixed the kids rooms and given the girls and boys back their rooms. Asher has joined the boys now and it's strange not having a baby bed in my room.
We had planned all of this before the miscarriage, to make more space, but it is working out in any case, because with Mom and Daddy coming home for Scilla's wedding, I will have lots more floor space for air mattresses and pallets.
Speaking of wedding....that has been a fun item on the to do list. Holly and I have been helping her with little details Stateside that she can't take care of herself. And having a ball doing it! I do still have some dresses to finish (Ok.. to be honest I've barely started the first one) before the wedding. In fact, I had a stress dream the other night that it was an hour before the wedding and I suddenly realized that I hadn't made any of the dresses and everyone was looking at me wondering where they were. I woke up so panicked it took awhile for Ed to calm me down. lol.
I have the best husband ever... he has helped me so much. I wouldn't have gotten any of the de-cluttering done without his help. And he has started wood working again and is making me furniture. !!!!!! So excited about that. The swing set for the kids for Christmas sort of got him started again and he is enjoying it so much. The boys are loving it too... they get to help. So far he has made the swing set, a picnic table, and a toybox for the boys. He has so many projects on his to do list though...that's just the beginning. =)
Well, I would write more but I have a dress fitting this after noon and I want to make sure the living room looks decent.
