Well, I'm down to 3 more working days before my folks arrive (yay!), and I have enough "to-dos" to fill a month. Lord willing, Monday morning I will finally be rid of this ear infection and be back to my normal self. It has really slowed me down this past week. But I'm thankful for the chance to feel what my babies feel. I don't remember having one before but they are officially miserable and I'm so dosing them up with Tylenol next time. I have taken more Advil this week than in all our married life put together. I NEVER take pain meds, but with being neither pregnant or nursing, Ed convinced me there was no virtue in suffering just because. ( Don't worry it actually only ended up being maybe 5 pills total all week, but for me that's a record. =) Just FYI, onion is the best for treating it. I tried everything!!!!
Well, enough about me....
The past month has been a nice break. It's still been busy but between the gorgeous weather, and enjoying my new picnic table, and watching the kids revel in the sunshine, and watching Ed work in his shop it's felt relaxing and non-hurried. I know the next few months are going to more than make up for that but that's ok.
I have so many things I could share that the Lord's been teaching me through this new Bible study. Or maybe just reminding me of...either way, it's been a blessing. And I'm truly trying to apply the "speaking truth to myself". I'm not "there" yet, but I've been noticing when I don't and that helps.
Anyway, it's late and I need to wrap up. I probably would have had more time if I hadn't taken so long admiring all the newborns on the various blogs I follow. Sweet cheeks and soft hair. Love it.

Thanks for the update. I always enjoy them. I appreciate what you said about "speaking the truth" to ourselves. I been getting this from a lot of sources lately. Not too long ago I finished reading, "Lies Women Believe and the Truth that Sets Them Free," by Nancy Leight DeMoss addressing this issue. I highly recomend it to anyone. And then recently I was able to attend a ladies conference at which Janet Pope spoke on the value of memorizing scripture, large sections of it, because once it is in our mind, the Holy Spirit can use it effectively in our lives. Like you said, these are reminders but much needed ones for me. I know you are getting excited about the family events coming up. I was wondering if Priscilla would be registered anywhere. Where will they be living? Trying to get an idea about their needs in my mind. Thanks. Carol Scovel
Thank you Carol! I enjoy knowing there are others who enjoy reading my blog. =) The book sounds very much like the one from our Bible Study..."Me Myself and Lies" by Jennifer Rothschild. Such a blessing, and so very relevant to my life.
I'm very excited about all the goings-on! The Folks get here Thurs. and Scilla is registered at Target and Bed,Bath, and Beyond. You may want you check online first as she had to do all of her registering that way and alot of her stuff isn't available in the store. But she said something comparable is fine too. They will be living in Taylorsville and have a nice size house, from what I hear. I can't wait to see it.
Thanks for writing!
Jessica
Thanks!
